Monthly Meeting September 2016

Marie-José Bentinck-van Zwieteren

 "Secrets of Prehistory:

The Role of Prehistoric Women"

Marie-José Bentinck-van Zwieteren, ambassador to Academie Pan Sophia

Marie-José Bentinck (1955) lives in Amsterdam. She is married and has one daughter. She studied law at the Utrecht University and worked for twenty years in different functions in the Dutch Court system, most of the time as a public prosecutor. After this job she sought a new interest.

In 2009 she took a course at Foundation Academie Pan Sophia, founded by Dr. Annine van der Meer, and became very intrigued by the knowledge she acquired. The importance of women in prehistoric times became evident, as did the reluctance of contemporary science to change the established visions.

From 2010 to the end of 2012 she had a chair on the board of Foundation Academie Pan Sophia. That year she began giving presentations.

In 2013 she was appointed ambassador of the Foundation Academie Pan Sophia. Marie-José Bentinck is fascinated by the new vision on history, from prehistory on, taught (interdisciplinary and scientifically) at Academie Pan Sophia.  It has changed her outlook on the world, the world history and (the history of) the world religions. She looks forward to sharing all this with you.
