Lecture: “Understanding Dutch Culture - Part II”
This was the second part of the much-appreciated, and therefore uncompleted, talk given by Wilfred Ploeg at the IWC meeting in October 2015.
Wilfred Ploeg works as an intercultural trainer and national resource for IOR Global Services (Northbrook USA), Cultural Awareness International CAI (Dallas, USA) and the Royal Tropical Institute of Amsterdam (KIT). Mr. Ploeg has worked at KIT since 1999, as a trainer on Dutch Culture for expats, international health workers and stu-dents coming to the Netherlands to work or to study. He also participates in re-entry workshops for Dutch families who return to the Netherlands after their assignments abroad.
Mr. Ploeg has graduated in educational science and taught psychology, educational science and philosophy for 20 years in a school for nurses. He is fluent in Italian and works part time as an Italian teacher, translator and intercultural trainer for people moving to Italy.
