We are very pleased that you have found us and are interested in the IWC Amsterdam.

The International Women’s Contact of Amsterdam was founded in 1973 by Olga Samkalden, wife of a former mayor of Amsterdam, whose intention it was to promote and increase friendship among women of all nationalities living in and around Amsterdam.

The Club also helps members who come to Holland to settle in, enjoy their new environment and gain a better understanding of Dutch life and culture.

The International Women’s Contact of Amsterdam is an ideal way to make friends, learn a little more about each other, exchange information and socialise.

We provide a wide range of activities, lectures, excursions and special interest groups which appeal to many women in the international community. You will find it all explained on the following pages.

Take a look…

In the International Women’s Contact more than 350 ladies from over 45 nations have united to share the same aims and objectives. All nationalities are welcome to our club. The club language is English and all activities are conducted in this language.

The IWC has no political, religious or commercial affiliations.

The Club is led by an executive board.
